Challenge Background

Bashi conducts product design challenges from industrial partners working on the design of their future products. Designers from across the world participate in the challenge and the winning design is taken to production.

I was the winner of the Levelup gaming desk design of the future. Unfortunately I cannot share the images of my design as I am under NDA obligations.

Overview of Level Up Design Challenge

From casual to hardcore and all the levels in between – LevelUp is all about supporting Gamers.

We are looking for Product Designers, Industrial Designers and Innovative Gamers to level-up the next generation of ergonomic gaming desks!!

Key elements and standard features we pride our products to include: durable PVC and melamine laminate, monitor risers, built-in power centers (power outlet & USB), wireless charging, cable management, LED lighting, keyboard tray, headset holders, control holders and cup holders. The target consumer appreciates design details that help them with desk space for multiple monitors, organization functionality, as well as breath-ability for highly functioning electronic components. Consider all of these features as a base and show us your iteration of what the future of gaming desks should be.

Present your inspiration, choice of materials and possible color ways, etc. Keep in mind the product will need to be easy to assemble, sturdy and smart. Think of all the hours and work your Gamer will put into with this piece while multitasking. We look forward in seeing your perspective in this exciting market.

Features to Consider

– Deep dive into a Gamer’s behavior, needs and wants

  • Person should be able to log several hours on desk for gaming or working
